Parents in Partnerships IPSEA Training for Parents and Carers in Croydon

PiP are delighted to be able to host this invaluable training.

IPSEA (Independent Parental Special Education Advice) will run a session on Level 2 SEND law.

This Level 2 SEND law training, delivered by a member of the IPSEA legal team, will take an in depth loook at specific areas of the law relating to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. It is essential to have basic knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice before attending.

The training day will cover the following topics:

- Inclusion

- The duty to specify in an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan

- Annual reviews

- Home to school transport

- Mental capacity

- Health and social care 

- Mediation
