Parents in Partnership (PiP) Makaton 1: Parents and carers workshop
Makaton 1 is a free language workshop for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities in Croydon.
The workshop teaches spoken language using simple signs and symbols to aid people to communicate.
Makaton can alleviate some of the frustration children face to better connect with other people and the world around them, improving their social skills and access to education.
