Parents in Partnership Makaton 1 - Free workshop for Parents/Carers of Children with SEND
PiP Makaton is a FREE* training for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities living or working in Croydon.
Makaton is a language programme using simple signs and symbols to aid people to communicate.
It supports spoken language, the signs and symbols are used with speech, in spoken word order.
Many children can struggle to communicate effectively which can often lead to frustration and behaviour that challenges.
Makaton can alleviate some of that frustration and enable children to better connect with other people and the world around them, improving their social skills and access to education.
Anne Chapman, a registered Makaton Trainer, will take you on a journey unlocking communication routes.
The course includes a free trainining booklet.
