Activities, information, and services for those with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

The Local Offer provides information and advice about services that children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies. It also provides information on a wide range of activities to do in and around Croydon.

Croydon SEND strategy 2023-2026

The Croydon SEND strategy outlines the main priorities for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) in Croydon from 2023 to 2026. The strategy is based on the voices of children, young people and their families and it emphasises co-production through collaboration.

Designated Clinical Officer (DCO)

SEND Transport and InĀ  ndependent travel training day

Join us on Thursday 15 February 2024, for our SEND transport and independent travel training day, in association with Croydon Bus Day. Find out more about the 2024 transport application process and guidance on transitions. This is a walk-in advice session.

Time: 10:30am to 3:30pm

Children unable to attend school due to reasons of medical/mental health

Under section 19 of the education act, Croydon works closely with schools to ensure adequate provision for children and young people unable to attend school for more than 15 days.

Help is at Hand

Help is at Hand is a is a phone-based service that offers immediate crisis support for parents, carers, and guardians without having to leave their homes.

Their experienced team will assist with the immediate mental wellbeing of any parent or carer and provide a focus, to better understand how they can manage themselves, their young person, or their child.

Phone lines are open from 12pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday
