Croydon has exciting plans for expanding and improving its specialist provision over the next 3 years. For further information about some of these, please see below:
Type of SEN or disability that the project is designed to meet:-
provide more places in post 16 provision for young people with complex learning needs
improve facilities for children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and/or medical needs
improve facilities for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in mainstream resourced provision
provide new facilities for children and young people with social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH)
The Capital Fund will support Croydon in delivery of the 0-25 SEND Strategy. There will be an increase in special school places to improve outcomes for young people with SEN and provide local provision pathways for local children.
