For pupils with severe learning difficulties and autism aged 2-11.
This capital will contribute to Croydon's SEND places supply strategy. There will be an increase in the number of local special school places to improve outcomes for children with SEN, meet the needs of an increased number of children, and meet parental preference. This funding will provide improved facilities at Red Gates School, better matched to the learning needs of pupils. The school has accommodated 3 bulge classes over 2 years, adding pressure to school capacity and curriculum delivery. A feasibility study is being undertaken over the summer.
Special provision fund allocation: £2,906,564
