SEND Parent and carers support groups
Parent support groups work with parents, carers and young people to offer advice, support and guidance on caring for a child or young person with disabilities.
They are a great way to meet like-minded people in your local area and to recognise that you are not alone in facing the challenges of your parenting & caring responsibilities. Parents in Partnership parent forum aims to enable and empower you to feel able to engage in local consultations and make representations at our parent forum meetings with professionals. We provide training and support and offer financial payment for attending meetings on the forums behalf. Services are available free of charge to parents of children and young people with a special need or disability living in Croydon.
Family link workers support families on an individual basis, providing information and coordinating services when families feel stuck. They will also provide emotional support, make referrals and liaise with services on the family's behalf.
