Coronavirus resources: Advice for professionals

Resources and official guidance for professionals during the coronavirus crisis.

Safeguarding

Due to the current situation with Covid 19 and government advice to move to remote working as far as is possible, Croydon’s Single Point of Contact (SPOC) will no longer be able to base social workers in Bernard Weatherill House to answer phone calls to the Consultation Line.

The Consultation and advice service however, remains an integral part of our service and we want to ensure professionals are still able to speak to a social worker when they need to seek advice regarding referrals.

Therefore, with immediate effect, if you need to speak to speak to a social worker to utilise the Consultation Service, please email: childreferrals@croydon.gov.uk

Please provide your contact details and a brief summary of the advice needed and we will ensure a social worker calls you back as soon as possible.

If you experience any difficulties with this new service provision, please contact Jonathan Lung (Service Manager: Single Point of Contact - SPOC) (Jonathan.Lung@croydon.gov.uk)

If you have an urgent safeguarding concern, please continue to call 0208 255 2888 between 09:00 – 17:00.

If you have an urgent safeguarding concern outside of these hours, please contact our Emergency Duty Team on 0208 726 6400.
