KIDS Croydon SENDIASS

A registered charity in Croydon, PiP supports parents and carers of children and young people (aged 0 to 25) with additional needs and disabilities in Croydon.

Its aim is to improve lives of families by providing specialist support, expert training and up to date local knowledge and information.

Support is provided in different ways:

  • creating opportunities to empower parents and carers to speak up and act for themselves
  • providing training and information that makes people feel more in control of what they are doing and better able to respond to challenges they face
  • access to support from experienced Family Link Workers to help parents and carers who may feel overwhelmed, stuck and/or unable to cope
  • a well-established network to connect communities, signpost individuals and reduce feelings of isolation

Croydon Parent Carer Forum

PiP also coordinates the Croydon Parent Carer Forum, whose aim is to ensure local services meet the needs of disabled children and their families.  This is a voluntary group of parents and carers of children and young people (0 to 25) with additional needs and disabilities. The forum brings together the voices and experiences of a diverse community and works with local organisations and services to give feedback on what is working well for their families and what needs to be improved. This is done through consultations, surveys and meetings.

Parent Carer Support Plans
